Mrs. Lille Dale McCarson Hendrix, age 76 of Waverly, Tenn., died peacefully at her home on Friday, May 12, 2023. She was born on Nov. 4, 1946, in Matthews, Mo. to two loving parents, Mary Lou Winters McCarson and Walter Clifford McCarson.

Lillie grew up in Gorman and graduated from McEwen High School in 1964. Lillie’s ambition in high school was to live a useful and happy life and she definitely did. After high school, Lillie attended the Nashville Free Will Baptist Bible College. She then went on to be the piano player and youth Sunday school teacher for many years at the Gorman Free Will Baptist Church. Lillie worked at Meriwether Lewis for 20 years as a customer service representative. Then in 1993, Lillie met the love of her life, Andrew Hendrix, and were married in June of that year. Lillie loved to spend time with her grandchildren, LizBeth and Antonio, whom she went on trips with. Lillie and Andy loved to travel; one of their favorite trips was an Alaskan cruise.
