Car Towed From Kentucky Lake In Henry County

Share

HENRY COUNTY, Tenn. – A car was towed out of Kentucky Lake in Henry County on Tuesday.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office and TWRA received a report from a fisherman on Saturday that a vehicle had been possibly spotted using a live scope image on his boat. Officers with both agencies responded to the scene and viewed the images and determined that the images could be of a car.

TWRA used underwater sonar on Monday to check the area again and confirmed the images were of a vehicle.

A dive team from the Braden Fire Department came to the scene to assist on Tuesday. They were able to locate the vehicle with the help of Denton’s Towing and tow it from the water. No victims were recovered from the car.

The Henry County Sheriff’s Office says the car is a red 1984 Chevrolet Camaro and was stolen from Scott’s Auto in 1991.

The investigation has been closed.
