Local County Mayors Seek Help With Vale Weather Station

BENTON COUNTY, Tenn. – Benton County Mayor Mark Ward, Carroll County Mayor Joseph Butler, and Henry County Mayor John Penn Ridgeway authored a joint letter of concern to their federal representatives.

The letter was about the recent outages at the National Weather Service weather alert repeater station in Vale. The news release says the station has gone offline at least six times in 2023.

The letter was addressed to U.S. Senators for Tennessee Marsha Blackburn and Bill Hagerty, along with U.S. Representatives for Tennessee Mark Green and David Kustoff.
