Henry County Schools Receive Grants

Paris, Tenn.- Henry County School System has received a grant of $16,600 from Utrust to fund teacher and staff appreciation throughout the school system.

 

Henry County Schools Superintendent Dr. Leah Watkins applied for the grant. She wrote, “This project allows us to show appreciation to all of our staff members. The funding provided is essential to celebrating our people and the efforts they make.”

 

Dr. Dan Tollett, Utrust Administrator said, “We are pleased to fund small projects that will make a big difference. Teachers and other staff members need to feel appreciated in these times.”

 

Utrust is an organization that assists school systems in Tennessee with unemployment issues and in recognizing, supporting, and appreciating school employees. It sponsors the Utrust Appreciation Program, a student leadership program that seeks to help students recognize and express appreciation to people who make their lives better each day.

 

Henry County is one of 51 school systems in Tennessee that will receive Utrust mini-grants annually.
