Camden Water Employee Receives State Award

CAMDEN, Tenn.-The City of Camden Water Department announced Thursday that Timmy Pate was recently awarded the Distribution System Operator of the Year by the Tennessee Association of Utility Districts (TAUD) at the annual Operator Expo in Lebanon, Tennessee, on May 19, 2022.

 

Timmy is a supervisor in the maintenance division of the CWD and has been employed since November 2008. He is a state-certified Grade II Distribution System Operator and an essential team member wearing many hats for the department.

 

With a background in industrial maintenance, he has been a valuable asset since joining the maintenance operations team.

 

He also collects distribution water samples as part of our drinking water monitoring program to help ensure a safe water supply for the Camden and Benton County community. He helps plan, prioritize, and initiate maintenance routines on a daily basis to help deliver a high level of service to customers.

 

Timmy was nominated for Distribution Operator of the Year for his devotion and enthusiasm to his occupation as shown in the quality of his work and his working relationships.

 

TAUD is a technical advisory service organization serving over 500 member utilities and businesses in Tennessee. Its mission is to provide the highest quality technical, legal, and operational support to assist its members in delivering safe and efficient services in the public interest.
