Mr. James Richard Atkins

Age: 84

Of: New Johnsonville, Tenn.

Died: Friday, May 20, 2022, at his home. He was born Nov. 9, 1937, in Waverly, Tenn. Mr. Atkins was a member of the Waverly United Methodist Church and the Caldwell Masonic Lodge in New Johnsonville. He worked as a Truck Driver for over 30 years and later owned the Western Auto Store in Camden for seven years with his wife, Renée. Mr. Atkins was a huge UT fan and enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves.

Visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Sunday, May 22, with a Masonic Service to follow at 7 p.m. and from 10 a.m. until service time Monday, May 23, at Humphreys County Funeral Home.

Funeral Services for Mr. Atkins will be conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, May 23, 2022, in the Humphreys County Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Joe Shannon officiating. Interment will follow in the United Methodist Cemetery in New Johnsonville.
